The earthquake that took place on Jan 12, 2010 has left Haitians feeling hopeless, desperate and alone. Over 50,000 people have already lost their lives to this catastrophic event and more than 100,000 people are homeless.
The people of Haiti are in need of water, food, shelter and emergency kits.
Fonkoze was Trickle Up's partner in Haiti when they had a program there, and they have continued to collaborate with them on a global project to develop innovative ways to help the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
Trickle Up would like to recommend Fonkoze, a Haitian microfinance and economic development organization.
Thousands of Haitians will receive adequate care that can potentially save their lives.
Staff in Haiti are working on establishing an emergency operations center.
